Thanks for following up. This bug report is being closed due to your
last comment regarding this being fixed with an update. For future
reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by clicking on the
current status in the yellow line and then choosing a new status in the
revealed drop down
The latest full release has it working properly. With the final 10.04
I now only have an issue with a second monitor having an incorrect
refresh rate due to kenel mode setting. Ati x1400 chipset in a lemovo
t60. I await a fix other than disabling modesetting

Google Earth is working flawless in 10.04.
When I posted the bug, I used the version from the Google website. Right
now I find it easiest to install the medibuntu one.

after disabling not only Atmosphere but also Water Surface in Google-Earth,
the system does not hang anymore and Googl-Earth performances well.

With Kubuntu 9.04, google-earth hangs when zooming in fast on a location. If
performed slowly, Zooming in and out is possible for a while but after a while
google-earth definitely will hang.
Then, only the mouse cursor can be moved, but no other action is possible
anymore. Shells are not
After my G-Earth crash the program did not show the planet anymore. I
tried to reinstall G-E, but now the whole program fails to start. I will
remove it and install the older version 4.2. But because of this I was
not able to reproduce the crash.
I added my recent Xorg.0.log.old. I don't know if

Please provide informations about your graphics card.
Could you please try this again and if the system logs try to provide the
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old
after reboot.

My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce Go 6100. I am using the nvidia-177
driver.
