I am unable to reproduce this at all on Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) with openoffice.org 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3. If someone can give more accurate detailed instructions on how to consistently reproduce this problem then I will have something to report to the developers. Otherwise there is nothing really that I

I mostly use Gnome with Metacity. For me it occurs in ALL documents, even the default blank page. What might affect this is that I have the Styles and Formatting box floating and not attached to the main Openoffice window. Also, I think I understand why the crash occurs. It's because the Styles

Also does installing the 'openoffice.org' meta package help resolve the crash? I couldn't make it happen even when enabling compiz so I am at a loss on how to reproduce this bug. Also no one else has reported since bug since long ago (with 2.3.0) so I think it may have something to do specifically
