I am unable to reproduce this at all on Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) with
openoffice.org 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3. If someone can give more accurate
detailed instructions on how to consistently reproduce this problem then

reproduce it again. I've also attached some screenshots in an archive.

1. Open OO.org Writer with a blank document.

I mostly use Gnome with Metacity.
For me it occurs in ALL documents, even the default blank page. What might
affect this is that I have the Styles and Formatting box floating and not
attached to the main Openoffice window.
Also, I think I understand why the crash occurs. It's because the Styles

have not requested any information, you have just dismissed the bug
because you cannot replicate it. Are you sure you are using the same
build and version
Can you attach a document that exhibits this problem? I can't reproduce
it with test documents I create, but maybe I am doing something wrong?

Also does installing the 'openoffice.org' meta package help resolve the
crash? I couldn't make it happen even when enabling compiz so I am at a
loss on how to reproduce this bug. Also no one else has reported since
bug since long ago (with 2.3.0) so I think it may have something to do
specifically
