The simple implementation is making the column headers clickable, but
I've also specced a View menu as an accessible equivalent.

Luca, I can understand sorting by name and by size, and I can do a
design for that. But you also mention sorting by version. Did you have a
use case in mind for that? It seems to me that most packages would have
different version numbering schemes, so sorting by version wouldn't help
you find
