I have the same problem on two computers which worked before the upgrade to
Intrepid 8.10:
* Dovecot server version 1.0.rc15
* server listening on port 993 IMAP over SSL
* server not listening on port 143 plain IMAP
* CRAM-MD5 password security
* in Evolution "Use Secure Connection" set to "SSL en
This is not a question. This is a real bug. Evolution stops working for
me with Ubuntu 8.10 and it clearly uses the wrong port. With 8.04 the
same setup was working.
