Hi all,
As this bug is in danger of expiring, i thought i'd mention my
experience.
Jaunty beta,
attempting to use nvidia binary drivers, via the standard install (menu
selection for proprietary drivers).
On activation of the drivers, and a restart of X.org, I get a blank black
screen.

Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue
for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

If you are using the nvidia xorg driver, this is to be expected,
still; as written on http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/alpha2:
A new XServer, version 1.6, is included in Alpha-2. The binary
proprietary drivers -fglrx and -nvidia are not yet supported for this
server and will exhibit various
