Sorry guys, my laptop's charger has been dead for the last week, so I will only
be able to try all this next week when it's repaired.

switch to VT1 by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1. Login at the prompt there and
then run the following commands:
sudo echo 1 /sys/power/pm_trace
setfont /usr/share/consolefonts/Uni1-VGA8.psf.gz
sudo pm-suspend
And see if you can collect more dmesg info or photo of the screen if it
spits out more

Can you reproduce this? Which version of the nvidia driver do you have
installed? I have nvidia 185.13 installed on 2.6.28-11-generic (64 bit)
on a T61p, and suspend-resume is working fine.
