This issue is still happening, after a hard drive failure (not related
to this), I looked on the documentation to see how to diagnose the
issue. I followed the instructions here:

acpi subsystem, the device PNPP0C0F:02
I've just had an suspend/resume in which it did not completely suspend
(but the hard drive was still active). I'm attaching the pertinent
parts of the dmesg log, hopefully it gives a little better information.

The kernel error is semi-reproducable in bug 359646 as well.
