Jaunty reaches End of life in 23 october 2010, so i acconseil you to upgrade to
Lucid.
Do a full update of your system, then
Go to System - Administration - Software sources, click on Updates tag, click
on normal releases button and select only Long Term Support releases, close.

Hi Fabio, without a better understanding of the logs I can't comment on
the offending package, however given it results in a shutdown perhaps it
would be reasonable to assume it's a kernel problem?

I appreciate this sounds somewhat random, but then so it the fault!
My system only seems to do this spontaneous shutdown when I'm running
the Terminal Server Client. I have this installed as part of the
standard Ubuntu install, and it reports version 0.150.
