because I've been hit with a second bug where Dropbox, GNOME 3 and the
specific ATI graphics card I have don't play well together, so I can't

the Ubuntu one client stubbornly refuses to authenticate against the

it's very frustrating. I stopped using Dropbox because their security
has proven to be unreliable and after switching all my data to U1 I

I have to agree with the comments above!
Not having a proxy support AND not having a working/official Kubuntu One
client is just beyond my understanding. Instead the Ubuntu One team
focuses on working on a windows client/support.

while the proxy support remains clearly broken, leaving it unusable for

I would also love to see this fixed, working behind a Proxy is quite
common in big companies these days! This keeps me from using Ubuntu One
@ work.

I work for a big corporate who are big users of Linux on the desktop.
This issue is affecting hundreds (even thousands) within my company.
So +1 for higher priority for this basic basic issue.

As it's not been mentioned here ; it should support SOCKS proxies as
well, despite the title of the ticket.
Lack of proxy support definitely harms the commercial potential of the
service. U1 currently offers better value for smaller data volumes than
Dropbox does, even if it's features are not as
It's a SHAME that this bug is not yet fixed! Am I the only person who sits
behind a proxy at work?? I don't believe this.
This is NOT a wishlist, this a SEVERE BUG which affects lots of people in
corporate and academic environments!
Please mark it at least as medium!
