in windows partitions (which is flexible) i can create partition in
any name and can be monitored or analysed for usage or
representation/navigation style is also more user friendly.

Dear aravind, probably you are right that while you are installing
ubuntu, especifically in step disk partitions could be a good idea if a
message show you a tip when you create separate user folders, exactly
like you said is a good system to maintain a backup of your home folder

what u answered is only a minor part of my problem.
friend please understand my real problem - ** during
the installation of ubuntu 9.04 i partitioned and formatted nearly
one-third of the hdd capacity in ext3 file system and the mount point
was given(typed, as it wasn't in the list)
I always use another partition for backups and home folders (using ext3
file system) and I don't have that problem while I was installing Jaunty
in my machine (remember that a ext3 partition per default cannot be
readed in Windows). Since this report is not totally cleared, I have to
ask you what
