Title:
[kubuntu] filepicker doesn't show pictures
I am too experiencing the slowness. It does not eat up CPU or IO when
this happens so it seems more to do with some scheduling related issue.
Also when this happens, other (KDE?) programs too become unresponsive.

[kubuntu] filepicker doesn't show pictures / is strange
I changed the status to Confirmed because I am still having the
problem of a very slow file picker on a fresh install of Lucid. I don't
recall having this problem on Karmic.

sudo apt-get -u remove openoffice.org-kde
Obviously, a fix of
I have had exactly the same problem when using Kubuntu Karmic. Now after
upgrading to Lucid, using the standard Ubuntu repository, the problem
remains. After a reboot, images show up just fine, but after a couple of
images inserted, the problem reappears and it is just painfully slow.

It seems that after working a while, and then opening the filpicker, it
is slow, and need 30 second to show content. At the same moment, other
instances from dolphin are also like freezing, until the ooo filpicker
shows the content

I've just realised there is still an error...
When trying to save an embeded image out of a document, oo is crashing.
I've tested under gnome with gnome integration : no problem. With kde :
crash.
I've also noticed, that when trying to save the image, under gnome, the
default is set to jpeg,
The file picker is now quick again, but the problem remains : it is not
displaying the pictures... only directories...
