I got this bug, too. I'm using 9.10 and I have an Acer Aspire M5630 PC
w/ a GeForce 8600GT instead of the ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro it comes with,
if that matters.

I don't experience this at all with the latest updates. I just tested,
it doesn't happen. I even tried hibernation, and it still doesn't
happen.

My Ubuntu (9.10 Karmic Koala) hanged off after trying to enter the PW to log-on

After that, Ubuntu took a few seconds more than regular to boot (on the first

I installed 9.10 last night. I configured and downloaded a few things,
and let it go to sleep. When I came down this morning, it wouldn't wake
up with the keyboard or mouse. I pressed the power button (intending to
turn it on, I didn't remember if it was off or not), and I got this
message. Dmesg
I got this as well. It may be due to resuming from a live installation
running from a USB stick

Hi m...@mschnitzius.com,
The warning reported here typically indicates that it took longer for
your system to resume from suspend than expected. I believe there is a
5 sec barrier which your system likely exceeded. Based on your dmesg
output I see PM: resume devices took 14.560 seconds. I'm
