I have a different wireless card ( usb Billion BIPAC 3010G ) and get a similar result, that is the card is shown as an eth* device rather than wlan0 I found a temporary solution by accident: if i have the usb device connected to the pc and boot up, it gets assign an eth2 and will not work. if i
