I have a different wireless card ( usb Billion BIPAC 3010G ) and get a similar result, that is the card is shown as an eth* device rather than wlan0
I found a temporary solution by accident: if i have the usb device connected to the pc and boot up, it gets assign an eth2 and will not work. if i boot the pc up and once i logged into KDE, and then insert the usb device, a wlan0 device shows and works as normal, and i can use it. -- Wireless Card shows as an eth1 https://launchpad.net/bugs/46692 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
