Today I had to do 69 updates instead of those 7 listed above. This time
the update manager didn't crash and everything worked finestrange

For me it was the same, no crash problem with the new update. Yesterday
I had to use apt-get to update...
I wonder 69 updates aren't that alot...

The same on my computer (AMD desktop 1800 MHz, Dapper Drake (6.06)).
Till today everything went fine. This morning I wanted to do the newest
updates but as soon as the updata manager starts my screen goes crazy
(black with some nice colors) and then I get back to the login screen. I
did this
