There was a bug here I can ensure you. But it's been a year, so I don't remember well and maybe it's been corrected in the upstream? I still have the exact same HW/SW that I had back then so I can check to see what file permissions/user/groups I have but I won't do anything more cause it's a

I have a *loy* of problems with samba printers. I hope'd this was the fix, but unfortunately I have no samba user in /etc/passwd. It is supposed to exists? I have a dapper drake standard samba installation. My problem is that cupsaddsmb fails (and start looping over itself) with an error on
