Hi, I wrote this on it's sister bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/+bug/56602. I thought
it'd be good to cross reference just in-case developers don't look at
dups. Thanks.

I'm using an up-to-date Dapper (6.06.1) [2007-07-10] system and this bug is
still not fixed.

cupsys (1.2.2-0ubuntu2) edgy; urgency=low
.
* debian/patches/ubuntu-disable-browsing.dpatch: Re-add BrowseAddress
@LOCAL@ to fix browsing.
* Enable web interface by default:
- Add debian/patches/ubuntu-external-pam-helper.dpatch:
+ Add a helper program
I have some plans in my head how to re-enable the web interface without
allowing cupsys shadow privileges. I think I can get that going for
edgy, so that we can drop this hint completely.

Hmm... let me put in a few more things.
The patched web page also says:
/usr/share/doc/cupsys/README.Debian.gz describes the details
and how to reenable it again.
Here is a list of all usability problems with this:
1. Kubuntu does not have the Gnome CUPS Manager installed.
