Lucid with Empathy 2.30.1, had the same Network Error issue. Solved by closing Empathy, killing /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-butterfly and staring Empathy again, will report back if it happens again. Is there any info missing in this bug or is this, as stated above, an upstream problem ? -- MSN

there are a few bug reports about this, most likely duplicated ones... I have Lucid amd64 and I'm also affected. I'm not sure but it seams to happen when computer comes out of suspension. the easy fix is to run killall telepathy-butterfly and then reconnect, it works, but it's a pain. -- MSN
