Hi, a new codeblocks version is available, could you please try to reproduce
your issue with this newer version?
The new version 12.11-2 is available in my ppa

The new version is already in raring, I backported it
I just tested the version from your PPA on Ubuntu 12.10. Using a fresh
Codeblocks config (I renamed my old .codeblocks folder), the bug appears
to be fixed :)

I don't have access to an Ubuntu computer at the moment (will set one up
again soon), but I can confirm that this same problem exists in
CodeBlocks 10.05 in Linux Mint Debian Edition.

You had problems with old Code::Blocks version, could you test if these
problems still exists in newest Codeblocks package (10.05) from Ubuntu
10.04 backports repository or never Ubuntu versions?

I think I just found the problem: The time interval between autosaves
defaults to zero. I misread it when I thought it said 10 minutes.
