Adding acpi=rsdt in the kernel boot params also resolved this issue
for me. I went from having 15s battery wakeup times upon resume to
~120ms times. Additionally, querying battery information through /sys is
way faster (read: reasonably instantaneous).
$ dmidecode -s system-product-name
MacBookPro4,1 here. acpi=rsdt does not solve it for me (though I
thought it did, as it worked for a while). Resume is back to 9 secs.

of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains, please
run the following command from a Terminal

I built both 3264 versions, the debs might not cleanly install, please ignore
