Should I understand from this that your bug is fixed? For the record, you can just as easily set up a manual IP address by editing the configuration for the Auto eth0 device in NetworkManager and using Manual for the Method under the IPv4 Settings tab. Please open separate bugs for screen

gerti, Could you please add some more information to your bug report? I would like to know what you mean by no DHCP. Is it that there is no DHCP server available, or is it that your computer does not get a response? Also, as you set up eth0, what do you mean by configured with DNS IP addresses
