Run:
sudo vmbuilder kvm ubuntu -v -m 256 --swapsize 256 --domain
vm.brightbox.net --addpkg=openssh-server --hostname=test1
--mac=02:24:19:01:00:01 --libvirt=qemu:///system --bridge=virbr1
virsh edit test1 and alter the interface specific

I'm trying to reproduce your vmbuilder example (on maverick). Can you tell me
exactly what happens for you with that VM?

There is the same problem with 'bridge' interfaces.
