Title:
Language
It's not totally clear whether you tried to set language from the
language-selector UI or from the language picker on the login screen.
Anyway, since ~/.profile was missing, I'd like to mention that extensive
code reorganization was made after v. 0.5.8. At least the current
language-selector code
$ ls -l ~/.profile ~/.dmrc /var/cache/gdm/$USER/dmrc
ls: cannot access /home/rafael/.profile: No such file or directory
-rw-r--r-- 1 rafael rafael 55 Aug 3 16:18 /home/rafael/.dmrc
-rw-r--r-- 1 rafael rafael 55 Aug 3 16:18 /var/cache/gdm/rafael/dmrc
** Changed in: language-selector (Ubuntu)
Might be a file permisions issue?
Can you please post the output of
ls -l ~/.profile ~/.dmrc /var/cache/gdm/$USER/dmrc
