Note that intel doesn't support xinerama anymore, so you'd need to use randr-1.2: http://wiki.debian.org/XStrikeForce/HowToRandR12 -- xinerama broken on upgrade dapper to edgy beta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/63050 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs,

Sorry for the silence.. It really seems to be a driver issue rather than with the library. Could you try on 7.10 with intel driver instead of i810. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: libxinerama = xserver-xorg-video-intel Status: New = Incomplete --

I ran into the same problem. Everything was working fine for me, until I tried to change the screen resolution using the little System - Preferences - Screen Resolution tool. It seems that the gnome screen resolution setting interferes with the screen resolutions defined in xorg.conf for the two

Nope, I spoke too soon. For some reason X has a resolution 2px wider than my laptop's primary display (1368*768), even though the only resolution listed in xorg.conf is the correct 1366*768. If I change this in System - Preferences - Screen Resolution to 1366*768, the resolutions of both screens
