Hi, unfortunately I cannot reproduce this bug anymore, I think it is
because I was trying to find a way to disable the password prompt window
(screen lock) which appears after I wake from suspend. I managed to get
rid of it by using gconf-editor. Probably this was a bug in gnome
itself?

Then to exclude that this is not plymouth related, at startup hold right shift
to recall grub menu, then press e,
