Launched Firefox just after boot. Then ALT+F2 to report a bug: ubuntu-
bug clock. Got an error message that package does not exist. Then got
an error and was asked if I wanted to report the problem, said yes. Got
a window that claimed this bug was already reported, did I wish to view
the web
Perhaps a silly thought, but I've not seen this for quite some time
after switching to the Classic w/o effects DE.
I'm embroiled in other things ATM but it may be beneficial to ask those
effected to try different DE's, maybe even 'unity-2d'.
Just a thought.

it doesn't seem that way to me because sometimes it happens from just
installing something, just logging in after logging out, logging in from
a suspended state, restarting, updating, and logging in from a cold boot
also for people who haven't looked up what the polkit is for

boot with Ubuntu Desktop. Same thing with Ubuntu Unity after applying
the NVidia driver. Observed this crash with Natty 64 installed w/ the

(language English - Local Brazil) since this combination is not standard.

this problem occurred on my eeepc 901 after launching gnome power
manager, before i made any changes. in the past this same problem
happened more frequently but apps are apparently crashing less as Natty
improves from week to week

DELL Optiplex 270, Pentium 2.8Ghz, 512MB ram. Natty Alpha 3 installed
and updated to 22-03-2011.
This crash occurs soon after logging in with Ubuntu Desktop Edition. I
didn't get this specific crash with the Classic Desktop.
