This bug has shown itself several times with xchat-gnome. When I start xchat-gnome either from the indicator-session menu or from the Unity dock, it is completely invisible but 'ps ax' shows an xchat-gnome process. Large part of the screen is unclickable. Killing xchat-gnome and restarting it
