As Gurkan said above, transparency in terminal is not wmaker's job. I use aterm, with this: aterm +st -tr -fade 50 -sh 50% -fg white -bg black -sl 1000 I just set it as an alias in my .bashrc , but you can mess with the particular settings by looking at man aterm hth -- I can't set the

you can set the background image in window maker using the menu, workspace, appearance, background or the wmsetbg tool. for transparency in terminal, that's not window makers' job. which terminal software are you using anyways? -- I can't set the background, other glitches
