I can't reproduce issues with step 4 (assuming you made a typo in your
expected event for step 4? entering calcutta for me gives me
Calcutta (Bengal, India) as the first suggestion).
I do see step 3 though. This is from the geonames server and affects
ubiquity too.

Note that using geonames.org gives correct value for kolkata. And
gives Kolkata for calcutta so maybe your expected text for step 4 was
not a typo.

The results I was getting for all searches were intermittent, so maybe I
