I still experience this issue consistently with the application
'boincmgr' from the package 'boinc-manager' when the application is
launched maximized.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Create and log in to a new user account.
2) Click the Firefox icon in the launcher.
3) Press Ctrl+T to open a new tab.
4) Press Super+1 to open the home folder.
5) Point the mouse to the left edge of the screen.
