I haven't used Ubuntu 11.10. However, I also meet exactly the same issue in Ubuntu 12.04 Beta1. Anyway, is there a live fix for the issue? I mean when the installer go wrong, can we issue some commands in root shell to fix it. We can get root shell from virtual terminals. Ctrl+Alt+Fn

The specific gnome-keyring related issue has been fixed. As the issue was showing up for every single install, I'm sure we'd have noticed if it was still happening. Now, several other things could freeze your install at this point, I'd suggest you file another bug report about it, making sure to
