I am running 32 Bit Ubuntu 11.10 with all updates including sni-qt
0.24-0ubuntu1.
This has not been fixed for me. Skype is set to automatically log in and
minimise to the indicator bar. But when it does, there is still no
indicator. I have to killall skype and restart it when I want to use it.

Hi John,
This last issue (the indicator going away after start up) should be
fixed with sni-qt 0.2.4, which just got pushed to the archive.

With the i386 versions of sni-qt and libdbusmenu-qt2 I almost have a
working indicator. The indicator is there when skype is launched, but
[visually] goes away as soon as I'm logged in. If I put my mouse where
the indicator was, I can get to skype's indicator menu and things - just
can't see it.
I'm having this same problem running 32-bit Skype on my 32-bit netbook
using the latest version of 11.10.

Skype not showing in indicator
I have been investigating this issue and I think it is a multiarch
problem. The architecture of your machine is amd64, but Skype is a 32bit
only application, so it needs a 32bit version of sni-qt. sni-qt and its
dependencies needs to be made multiarch friendly. This means fixing the
