I create the virtual machine with the command:
virsh create test-save
This is what I've in the test-save
domain type='kvm'
nametest-save/name
vcpu1/vcpu
memory524288/memory
os
type arch='x86_64'hvm/type
boot dev='hd'/
/os
devices
emulator/usr/bin/kvm/emulator
disk type='file'
Thanks for the info.
I converted my disk to qcow2 and switch to a specific vnc port, but I still
can't reproduce failure to resume.
The 'pci_add_option_rom: failed to find romfile pxe-rtl8139.bin' in th elog
file happens to me on every boot, so appears unrelated.
Can you please do
sudo sed -i
I did a fresh install of 10.04.4 LTS, installed libvirt and qemu-kvm,
set up a precise guest, used the following settings:
interface type='bridge'
mac address='52:54:00:ad:9e:8e'/
source bridge='br0'/
/interface
/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -S -M pc-0.12 -enable-kvm -m 512 -smp 1
-name cdboot
Hello,
I've changed the MAC and the virtual machine is still hanging.
I've seen if I add the NIC with the virtio driver the virtual machine is not
hanging, ive added the next line in the interface section:
model type='virtio'/
interface type='bridge'

Thanks for taking the time to file this detailed report.
Is there anything in /var/log/libvirt/qemu/test-save.log?
Can you show the result, while the kvm is hanging, of
ps -ef
brctl show
ifconfig -a
virsh list
If you change the nic definition from
interface
