strange cant connect issue during browsing and apt-get operation, stragely ping
was still good.
Solution was completely disable ipv6 and set to ignore ipv6 in network
manager..

I can confirm that this bug still exists and have therefore put the
status back to incomplete. I've been experiencing it day in and out (to
my great frustration) for the past 18 months or so. The behavior is
consistent across maybe 2 dozen wifi networks in equally many locations.

I've been having this problem with my AR9462 wifi chip for several months. It
randomly disconnects, with the uptime varying between a minute and 10 minutes.

Stable connection with good ping times, but throughput is measured in 10-20
kB/s.
Other linux machines on the same access point (NETGEAR WNDR3700v2) get 0.5 to 1

I'm using U45JC (ASUS) which has AR9285 chip, and the situation is more
adverse.
After 5 minutes - 2 hrs or any time duration, the chip just disappears.
It is not shown in iwconfig or ifconfig, and system tray.

Tested on clean air environments with high quality signals on access points
from different manufacturers including mikrotik, cisco and even d-link equ
Also def. ipv6 is involved somehow. I'm using "Link-local only" in
network manager, setting it to 'automatic' will get you disconnects.
