unity-greeter ignores every config option

Thank you for your bug report, setting that key for the lightdm user
com.canonical.unity-greeter draw-user-backgrounds false then setting
com.canonical.unity-greeter background to the file you want should
work
i.e sudo -u lightdm com.canonical.unity-greeter draw-user-backgrounds
false or

i have to be user lightdm to edit those settings. How in the world should a
normal user know that?
terrible userunfriendly design IMHO.
btw upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04 unity-greeter oeverwrites, without
asking, user settings.
