In my case, the memory does not start growing until I switch to 'Full
Screen' mode. Once it has entered 'Full Screen' mode, it triggers (a
background thread that starts) creating Thumbnails. This does not stop
when I exit Full Screen mode, and process memory continues to grow. The

I see massive memory consumption when switching through a series of
images, no matter if full screen or large view within the window, I
actually do not even use the real presentation mode...

Yes I can confirm that I hit gwenview memory issue only in the
'presentation mode'. I don't see memory problems neither in the
'standard mode' nor in the 'thumbnail mode'.
