This always happends because it's difficult to tell GNOME that needs to
logout. In the other hand, ACPI sends a DCOP message requesting to
logout the desktop... I don't know if GNOME has DBUS interface for
logging out, it is be necessary for this issue.

Attached is a crash log when running it in debug mode.
To repeat the steps for the crash:
1. Ask someone to send you a file.
2. When the file accept/cancel window comes up, just leave it there for 5-10
seconds.
3. Watch it crash.

Can't we go back to using /proc instead of /sys until the sysfs stuff
handles pci domains correctly? The good things
011_fedora_pci_scan_fixes.patch adds will still be left.

The gaim tabs are the same height as gedit, however I did notice that 2
pixels are getting cut off of the [x] button on the gaim tabs. I am
running gaim2.0beta-3.1 on Edgy Knot 3. I think I recall this problem in

I just upgraded to edgy last night/today and my keyboard is no longer
working (at all. no Ctrl+Alt+*, no Num Lock, etc) after I log in through
gdm. It does work in gdm, in gnome fail-safe mode, in fluxbox, and in
gnome for my other user account, but it fails to work in gnome for my
regular user
I should have mentioned that if I later log out of gnome/switch users,
they keyboard starts working again. If I then go back to gnome on my
regular user, it no longer works. etc.

Auto creation of an URL prefixes URL with protocol
In Debian, /etc/init.d/powerfail is in 2 packages:
genpower (extra) and powstatd (extra)
In Ubuntu, /etc/init.d/powerfail is in 2 packages:
genpower (universe) and powstatd (universe)
So neither distro has a /etc/init.d/powerfail in the default install.

I have tried to purge and reinstall w32codecs but it doesn't solve the

Only Vlc seems to work.

I have gmail-notify not storing my username and password, so every time
I log into gnome, it opens up the preferences window. Sometimes, I'm in
a hurry or don't have Internet and just want it to go away, but there's
a while loop in the code that just won't let that happen.
Here's the patch I was referring to. It should probably be sent upstream
too.

Preferences window won't just close
This happened to me, but I was able to scroll down to see the rest of
the menu. Considering that I keep the buddy list stretched from the top
to the bottom of the screen, this can be a pain. I would rather have it
where the list just goes above the button if it needs to (or always). I
am guessing
