I am using a iMac G5 (first version) 1.8 GHz, I have just tried edgy
beta (6.10 beta) and it is not supported yet! And I just wanted to say
one more Why? It does not look very complex.

Maybe xgl/compiz packages are uninstalled, but not all packages from this repo
are uninstalled.
The version of libgl1-mesa-dri installed on your computer (6.5.1-0ubuntu10)
comes from the xgl/compiz repo, the official one has 6.4.1-0ubuntu8.
So your bug is actually a duplicate of this one.

I too am experiencing this problem. I think the priority should be
raised so it can be fixed for edgy. Bluetooth is a very common
technology and it's adoption rate is accelerating. To have support
missing from edgy is a big problem.

Same problem here on Ubuntu Edgy Beta, in a VT caps lock can be
activated but the Caps LED doesn't show this. Pressing Alt+F7 to switch
to X when CAPS lock is activated doesn't work, which is very annoying.

The namespace issue was really never a major reason for the fork, and as
far as replacing it with fdo goes, most users are used to compiz-quinn
and will expect that. So either way we go there will be confusion, I
figure its just as well to leave things alone if there is no way to get
beryl in to

Also, my deskbar-applet's gmail search plugin has stopped working.
Upgrading to libgmail 0.1.5.1 fixed it. (I do realize that this plugin
is not shipped with Ubuntu, but it seems that any client program
depending on libgmail could be broken now.)

Doesn't influence mplayer's ability to acctualy play the sound.

After upgrading to edgy beta (on 2006-09-30) and doing a forced install
of xserver-xorg I still have some things left behind that troubles me.
The packages imake and makedepend are left behind as local or old or whatever
that line is in english. When I try to remove them
I have the same problem with my Compaq Presario v2000 laptop. Works
fine in Dapper, event gets logged but nothing happens on Edgy.

After installing mdadm, my raid devices got activated. (/dev/md{0..3}).
But lvmdiskscan didn't find any physical volumes.

test field two rectangles are displayed instead of the special letters
æøå. Looks like the field dosn't understand two byte chars (UTF8).

I have packaged a new version of the foomatic-db-engine package which
prevents CUPS from listing printer/driver combos for which Foomatic does
not provide a PPD file.
Martin can you upload my newest foomatic-db-engine from

The problem here is that a user can connect other machines to the
network if they have the WEP key.
