I don't know the technicalities of how usplash works. I just want to
point out that the bugs referenced by AJ Slater (as listed in bug 42974)
have to do with framebuffer VT's and using a 'vga=xxx' parameter,
whereas in this case no 'vga=xxx' parameters seem to be used.

I have the same issue on my two machines: a custom AMD 2.8 GHz desktop
box with an ATI radeon rv 100 card and a Dell D610 laptop with an intel
i915 video chip.

Installer doesn't warn about unbootable config (/boot on LVM)
I just had a look at valgrind's changelog. Callgrind is part of valgrind
since version 3.2.0 (current version in Edgy is 1:3.2.0-2ubuntu3).
Thus the valgrind-callgrind package should be dropped from the
repository and removed from the Recommends of kcachegrind.

Do you have fglrx disabled in /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-

It is disabled by default. It would have been nice if there was some
documentation in the package hinting at this.

I've found out why changes aren't being made when you add/edit/delete
entries. The .local directory and it's sub directory are all owned by
root with a mask or rwx-- so the user can not make amendments. I
changed ownership to my username and I can make changes now.

plugged my Kodak camera at the usb device and saw the popup alerting me. I
clicked to open in new windows and it opened it, but no file into.
Later, i tried to use digikam and he recognise my camera and i can see all the
