In Dapper, there were four *separate* issues to do with SCIM and Qt
being broken or less usable. Bug #57081 is a long bug discussion that
eventually, I believe, gets to the root of the problem.
Is it the case that this bug report exists because of 3 of those 4

Before I saw Elias's comment, I was going to ask if this is still
possible in the official MSN client. However, with Elias's comment, I'm
all-but-positive I know what is happening:
In MSN, the notification server handles status and sets up referrals for
new conversations. The switchboard servers

a printer, ps file or otherwise) a PDF document created in Apple Pages 2.0 that
makes use of transparency (shadows etc) then the element in question with the
transparency turns into a black

I'm very disapointed about the new official version.
I just re-install the Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS on my system because the install
still continue to crash even if I use the gksu update-manager -c
method.
Nothing change since the beta version and the system still hang on the
boot splash screen that

I installed/upgraded from Dapper to Edgy Fit Ubuntu on two machines.
Both machines had been running Dapper flawlessly.
One - in an old Compaq M700 laptop. The M700 upgrade proceeded via the
sudo gtk upgrade command. After the upgrade Firefox
I did not read carefully, but bug title is the sams as bug #8497.
I'll add a note there to let them check this.

Hey, that creating a bash script /etc/rcS.d/S29usplash_timeout.sh
really did the trick! I now have a working usplash! Thanks.
ps. first time I ever had to make a script file. Thank you. Almost total
noob here.

I also installed edgy this morning in my desktop pc. I let the livecd
installer do all the work with grub. I got 3 hard disks at this pc, and
i installed ubuntu at /dev/hdc1 (Got Windows/NTFS at hda1 and a storage
drive/FAT32 at hcd2).

How about 64 bits? Does anyone have the driver? I looked around, and could
not find anything, except for a few incompatible ones. Dell has not posted any
64 bits drivers (it already took them over a month to post the bios update to
get the new merom processor recognized!). I am hoping that
