It's supposed to be fixed in 1:7.2-3ubuntu1. I'm testing Gutsy Tribe 1 and the
bug is still present (using version 1:7.2-3ubuntu3).
Since intel driver is included, there are two workarounds:
1) Change i810 to intel.
2) Write sync ranges and use i810 + 915resolution for widescreen resolutions.

Public bug reported:
Ubuntu have MMIO and NAPI disabled for VIA Rhine network cards.
MMIO and NAPI should improve performance considerably. And as far as I'm
aware, these aren't experimental anymore?
So can these be enabled be default?

Wow, that's hackish :) maybe you could first try to add a sleep 5 or
something in /etc/init.d/checkfs.sh to avoid the race.
In my opinion it can come from either udev, the kernel, or upstart. The
clean solution would be to make sure that udev settles down before
starting checkfs.

I'm not sure if rejected is right. Perhaps fixed. Anyway, we seem to
have confirmed that it's no longer a problem in Feisty. Please feel
welcome to change the status if I've done it wrong.

Reviewing the changelog, it seems this bug was introduced in Edgy Eft

OK, thanks!
But just for my education, how are you guys working with debian,
do you have any maillist, indicating new debian package,
or look through some web resource?
Is there any ubuntu wiki about cooperation with debian?
Thanks in advance!
