I just tried a sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg and it reworks.
It puts a driver ati in the device section of my xorg.conf in place of the
radeon. If I put radeon again, it continues to work but I lost 500FPS in
glxgears.

I was meaning: even when you choose a standard *complete* theme (with

I have a HP Pavillion dv2173ea with a sata Fujitsu HardDisk. I've tried
to install the new beta of gutsy but at the time to select the
partitions to install ubuntu it was unable to detect my partitons on the
disk, it only detected all the disk as one partition. I had tried

No I used envy to setup my graphics drivers and nvidia-settings to set
up xorg.conf. Screen and Graphics Preferences (displayconfig-gtk) does
not work for me at all, it only shows 640x480 mode even though I have
defined 1280x800 in my xorg.conf.

hi, thanks i did run sudo dpkg --configure -a' in a terminal window, after a
friend helped; the error box didnt mention sudo...thats why i had
problems. But it is all fixed now, thanks.

which autostarts trackerd for kde and
/etc/xdg/autostart/trackerd.desktop
which autostarts trackerd for GNOME/XFCE.
If Ubuntu doesn't want to autostart trackerd for KDE, simply remove
the former file from debian/tracker.install.
