I attempted a fresh install of Ubuntu 7.04 on a motherboard with Intel SATA
RAID.
The system had two 500GB disks configured in Raid0. I had previously installed
vista and resized the partition down to make space for Ubuntu.

If I try to get an IP via DHCP, the system freezes and the numlock and

Looks like Gutsy enables xgl by default, and this is really slow with
ATI driver with Radeon 9200. To disable xgl: touch ~/.config/xserver-
xgl/disable (make sure ~/.config/xserver-xgl is created first). Once
XGL is not used, it should be as fast as Feisty..

I checked whether the blocks also occur in other apps. It doesn't. The
evolution block seems not to be isolated to imap, but also occurs with pop

Well, there isn't really a problem if idle dimming is enabled - in that case
it dims properly to the idle brightness setting. That is, unless
brightness is already set to a lower setting, in which case the brightness
increases (but that's another bug).

The strangest is that this error only appears on every DELL Poweredge 2500 PC,
in other PC's, the CD turns right.
I also tested the alternate version, but here also the CD hangs in the module
libc6-udeb.

just to confirm that disabling networking in NM-applet before suspend,
and re-enabling it after resume does perfectly the job and completely
solves the problem for me (tested 3 times), wired or not. Still annoying
to have to do this, and other machines (thinking of my old IBM T40p)

The changes I made to the dialog are as following:
In the General tab of the Mail Preferences dialog I've removed the
New Mail Notification category, which went to a single tab with the

I just made a sudo apt-get dist-upgrade, there was an update to
ubuntustudio-menu 0.5, but compiz fails to start:

dependance to fix similar issue.

This seems to be an issue accross the board. I'm on x86_32 and receive the
following:
eject -v -T /dev/dvd

Let me express my fear about this problem too. As we are approaching the
final release of Gutsy, it would be very unpleasant for us to see an
innovative tool coming with Kubuntu Gutsy just not working for our
language (Greek)!
