So I have an ATI Radeon 7000 card. No 3d acceleration at all until I
applied the blacklist and module fix.

Here is a fix for this issue. It turned out that in early versions of
EDID, 'aspect=0' was used to indicate a 1:1 aspect ratio, but in later
versions like 1.3 and 2.0, they redefined it to mean a 16:10 aspect
ratio. I guess ddcprobe was developed prior to this change, so was just
assuming 1:1 for

I just spent an hour trying to decipher this error message from plywood, a
latex package which I installed after upgrading:

When you hold the mouse over one entry, the popup says 'configure printers'
When you hold the mouse over other entry, its' popup says 'configure your
printers'
What does yours say? I need to know.
This is on an upgrade. i have been told it does not happen on a fresh install.

Hi folks I have the classic problem with the NVIDIA 8800 series. however
as you can see from the attached xorg.0.log this ain't the wfb problem.
I have already changed the HW and the same machien works fine with my
old 7900

to resume from suspend/hibernate, how comes crappy m$ products got it
right?

Actually guys, if you remove all the audacious packages with a --purge, or a
fully remove in synaptic, and then reinstall them, that fixes the issue (at
least until the next update)

I've done some digging, and I've found that the move plugin is always
deactivated on startup.
I've also tried running gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/compiz, but
since I manually acivated the plugin just before, I haven't noticed any
difference.
