The problem seems to arise actually from the interaction between
KNetworkManager (front end) and the NetworkManager
(back end).
The CPU goes 100% when KNetworkManager is not running or has been
killed/closed. This seems to be fixed by restarting the KNetworkManager as

I was just noticed this problem on my Gutsy system. I think the
answer's here already but not entirely intuitive. To do a sync now,
you have to go to manual mode and hit synchronize now. I saw my
time change when i did that. Then you can go back to keep
synchronized mode if you want.

In Kubuntu 7.10, there are still some problems with the window size.
The following occurs regularly even if I have only one kpdf window:
- The KPDF window is maximised vertically when I log out.
- On the next login, the window is no longer maximised vertically, and
the height of the window is

The very same error is here with hwdb-send when you try to submit a
non-existing xml file.
If the file doesn't exist, it can't calculate its md5sum, it can't bzip2 it and
it can't rename it
