applying the patch makes the application start and run, but unfortunately,
mostly it segfaults within the first few seconds.
i would recommend not to comment out nvidiafb.
there are issues known and what you really want is vesafb.
leaving nvidiafb in the blacklist is goood.

Rhythmbox Volume Control is laggy

baobab crashed with SIGSEGV in
Have changed to KDM at work, can now connect with xming but not with cygwin !!!
If I end the xming session it crashes, this never happens on feisty before.
Something went totally wrong with xdmcp in gutsy, and i think taking every
newest deb from lenny is really not always a good idea, i feel

Here is a strace of nautilus while starting up.
I started strace manually after logging in in gdm, so it may not be
totally complete.
Anyway, it seems there are lot of files that nautilus is opening but are
not there. This includes locale stuff and icons.
