I think this problem may have been resolved in Ubuntu 7.10 OpenOffice

openoffice.org: impress: presentation mode fails on IceWM
At least in the Ubuntu 7.10 OpenOffice 2.3.0 version it allows you to
name your table of contents anything you want so changing the title of
'Table of Contents' is left up to the user. You can right click on the
'Table of Contents' and click on 'Edit Index/Table' and change the title
there.
Can you attach an example document that causes this problem on Ubuntu
7.10?

I have a black screen during boot.
My machine is a Dell Precision M6300 with a native resolution of 1920x1200. I
changed my configuration to the settings suggested but without results.
My /etc/usplash.conf is set at 1024x768.
My /boot/grub/menu.lst has

in a way. You enter the dates as your locale specifies, when you double
click on a date it shows it to you in your locale format. So if your
locale default is MM/DD/YY but you have it set to DD/MM/YY it will show
DD/MM/YY

If you still have this problem on Ubuntu 7.10 OpenOffice 2.3.0 make sure
to install openoffice.org-base package. After doing this you can install
the dictionary via 'File-Wizards-Install new dictionaries'. Please let
me know if this solves your problem.

debian/patches/02-cairo-1.4.8-lcd-filter-2.dpatch.
The bug reveals itself if sub-pixel rendering is enabled and rgba_order
'VRGB' is selected.

When I plug the reader in, I get a usb 2.0 sd/mmc reader on the
computer folder in nautilus. But when I click on it, it says -
unable to mount media there is probably no disk in the drive. The
card however IS in the drive, and If I reboot to windows it works

I checked to ensure the username and password are valid. I commented
out Mac address, LDM_USERNAME, and LDM_PASSWORD. The thin client was
then presented with a login screen. I logged in using the same
credentials in lts.conf.
I then returned lts.conf to the auto-login configuration.

I can confirm this crackling behaviour in my Macbook 3rd generation with Gutsy
as well.
I have come to a possible solution, but it has not been widely tested yet.
But it's been working very well for me and a few others.

I can confirm this with Gutsy Gnome. I tried with 4 pages per side, and I get
the useless behaviour described above.
The workaround is to choose 4 pages per side, all pages, print everything on
the PDF printer. then go to your ~/PDF directory, open the pdf output, open it
and print even pages

Your best bet currently is to remove _all_ instances of the newer

Fresh install of Gutsy, used Automatix to install Google-earth.
When Google-earth application runs, the earth map is drawn on every
workspace.
The rendering causes the screen to flicker, and other applications

I disagree with this because there would be problems if a user needed to
use bluetooth on a computer that is not connected to the internet.
Codecs are a different story as if they were included, they would cause
distributing problems. As for your bug, is there anyway for you to try
and reproduce

Yes, I should have mentioned that - this probably does not eliminate the
need for the custom DSDT file, it just makes it so it actually works
again when you put it in place :-) I know that I still have my DSDT in
place.

Scenario: I have k3b open, as I wish to burn a DVD. I put a DVDR in the
drive. The KNotify dialog pops up (what do you want to do with this
medium?) but for some reason doesn't get focus. I click burn in k3b.
Somehow the two processes compete / get
This may well get rejected, as we don't support automatix, or google
earth, as it's not in ubuntu, but forwarding across to compiz anyway.

The fact that resume always works when PM tracing is turned on (which
just manipulates the RTC state to store the debug info) brought me to me
the idea that the problem might be related to the RTC.
So I changed the /etc/acpi/sleep.sh script:
