I use Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon (7.10).
I can only guess why, the last directory used gets listed. I can't
choose that directory if it is on an external drive. I have to activly
choose a directory to be able to select that directory as my target. My
workaround is that I select the previous directory

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in with a windowmanager that does not belong to KDE (like FVWM or WM2)
2. Set KDEWM to a winowmanager that does not belong to KDE (like fvwm2)
3. Execute /usr/lib/kde4/bin/startkde and don't switch desktops while KDE 4 is
starting
4. Click the blue
That's likely a duplicate, you can look to the open libwnck bugs about
compiz and workspaces

What gutsy stable update?
I have all repositories enabled (including backports, updates) and my
gdm still can't be used to connect XDMCP.
Both clients and server are Gutsy. Using plain face browser.
If you mean your patch, can you tell me how to apply your patch, thank
you.
