run rhythmbox and when it get hanged , run gdb with something like: gdb
/usr/bin/rhythmbox PID ; PID being the process number of the rhythmbox
that it's hanged, then you can get a backtrace as usual, thanks.

I can confirm this with Gutsy and current Hardy. Every time I enable the Nvidia
driver with the restricted manager I get a blank screen after restart but
system reacts normal and I hear the boot sound.

When I do the same, it creates no file in /var/crash , the only files
are fspot and firefox crashes. Is there anyone who can reproduce this?

When I click on an URL link in evince it opens the downloaded HTML
source in gedit.
I expected it to show me the site in my preferred webbrowser (firefox)
When I change in nautilus to open .html files with KWrite evince opens
them with KWrite.

As splashy relies on vga=xxx being enabled, so if it isn't working (my
ttys are broken as well), then it's likely not doing splashy any favours
either.
