sorry, installation was on a P4, intel D865PERL motherboard, 32 bit processor,
i686 install, Kubuntu 7.10...
I think this is a serious bug within the install routine for the GRUB
bootloader and should be taken QUITE SERIOUS... if I had an operating system
that required certain boot routines set
I actually do find this as a bug.
I have a 20G ATA drive in my system for backup purposes (I haven't spent the
money, and don't really find it necessary to, on an external backup drive)...
My primary drive is an 80G SATA.
Anyhow, when installing the system the installer finds the 80G as the
i dont even know what that means, i jsut upgraded and it rebooted and
gave me that error but everything seemed to work normally after that

Same issue on a dual core dell. Nothing extra installed. Upgrade from
Gusty. Don't use evolution. No wireless. I have other issues with
networking that are annoying. The nm-applet is constantly spinning and
sometimes it takes 10-15 minutes to get a solid DHCP connection.

Statement: I noticed an anomaly between this and the brightness
adjustment. I found this interesting and decided to test my theory. I
was right. When I lose brightness, I also lose wireless connection.

This is still an issue with all updates to Hardy on 3/28/2008. There is
also another bug tracking this with much less information. Someone on
the Ubuntu team should collapse into a single bug that is still open,
active and a high priority and possibly linked upstream. The other bug

kdesudo kate
kdesu kwrite
so it seems to be a problem with kdesudo. Altough it is installed it
isn`t found be krunner. i also tried to kdesudo kwrite from yakuake-
kde4 and konsole (both kde3 and kde4).

I have been able to get the tracker-applet back...
I noticed that I had 2 instances of trackerd running. So I disabled
Tracker via the Preferences - Search and Indexing, then I killed both
instances of trackerd, then re-enabled tracker in preferences, et voila,
it works fine now. Hopefully it
There is a bug in this Pidgin. I can not resize area in conversation
window where I type. :(
